Read the journal, and note the out of place words.
  (Solution: Bridge, Badlands, Castle, GreenForest, MistyMountains, RedPath)
Going down the ladder leads to a linking book to Shinelight Manor, and a closed door.
Going up the ladder leads to a calm porch.
You will need to continue this puzzle in Shinelight Manor, to get the necessary clues...
  (Clue from Shinelight Manor: The D'ni letter "D" and D'ni number "1")
  Note the D'ni numbers and letters on the porch...
  (Solution: Find the D1 square and search the bricks in it for one that you can press.)
    The barbecue lid has opened!
    Press the hamburger.
    The door that was closed before is now open.
      Enter it and use the machine to switch between day and night!
        Search Zefora in the night...
          The journal is now gone, but there is now a linking book to TsoidahlPrad on the dresser!
