Make sure you check out the building, lake, bridge and walkway in the first area
  The building has a journal you can click on, even though it doesn't show the cursor.
Fall down the ruined building and explore.
You've hit the end when you reach the room with the star sky and a satellite dish.
It's possible to make a wrong turn and end up in a sandy area you can't get out of.
